We don't charge standard connection fees for our nbn® services. Although, if you're in a new property development or require additional installation work, nbn® may apply extra charges which will be clearly shown during the sign-up process before issuing any charges. Still have questions? Get in contact with our team.
If you're signing up with National PC Connect, you can bring your own modem if it is nbn® compatible and not locked to your previous provider. Although, we can help you choose from our range of nbn® compatible modems and routers to suit your needs. Contact our team if you have any questions about your modem or finding the right one.
We understand you can't go without internet, that's why we make switching easy and hassle free. If you're already connected to the nbn®, installation typically happens within 1-5 days. If you've never been connected to the nbn®, you'll likely need an nbn® tech appointment, which is usually 2-5 weeks. The nbn® technician will come to your property to install any equipment, then we can connect your service.
The $0 Fibre Upgrade is part of the nbn® Fibre Connect initiative, which allows eligible homes to upgrade from older copper-based connections — like Fibre to the Node (FTTN) or Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) — to Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) at no cost. This upgrade delivers faster, more reliable internet. National PC Connect is proud to offer $0 FTTP upgrades to select eligible addresses when you switch to a qualifying high-speed nbn® plan (100/40 or above). Check your eligibility or chat with our friendly onshore team by calling 1300 364 930.
Not all NBN speeds are available at every house due to a combination of factors related to your connection type and the technology used to connect you to the NBN network. If you're unsure if you can get one of our high-speed plans, our Client Success Team can assist you on 1300 364 930.
You’ll need the landlord’s permission to upgrade to nbn® Fibre at their premises as it may require work to the property to set up the connection, such as drilling into walls.
We’ve created a customisable letter that you can send to your landlord or property manager. Download the letter template.
Once you have approval, we can proceed with the upgrade.
For personal use by approved customers only. Subject to service qualification check. National PC Connect Home Internet is a data-only service and is not compatible with your home phone line service meaning you may no longer be able to use your landline (or existing phone number) for calls after you sign-up. National PC Connect Home Internet service may also impact or interfere with existing technology, devices or services at your premises including medical devices, alarms, eftpos machines, lift emergency phones and some email or fax services.
Installation
Standard installation includes self-installation of your modem, eligibility criteria applies. Extra charges apply for non-standard installation of National PC Connect, nbn co supplied equipment or in new developments.
New Development Charge
If you’re in a new development without existing phone or internet infrastructure, nbn co may impose a $300 New Development Charge (NDC) to connect you to the nbn network. This includes new lots, subdivisions, and granny flats with a separate address from the primary residence. If applicable, we will bill that charge to you and we will let you know at the time of confirming your order and you will have the option to cancel. Extra charges may apply for non-standard or professional installation of National PC Connect or nbn co equipment and for premises in new developments. Once you are connected to nbn fibre, you won’t be able to move to our copper network.
