From Local Tech Support to Business-First IT

National PC began with a simple idea: make technology work for real people. Back in 2002, at just 16 years old, I launched my first IT business—Tasmanian Personal Computers—offering tech support and online sales of computers and accessories. I was passionate, curious, and determined to help people get more from their technology.

Just two years later, on May 4th, 2004, I registered National PC. (Yes—May the 4th Be With You was the day we started, though not by design!) At that time, we supported home users, ran an online store, and helped everyday Australians solve tech problems big and small.

But over time, we found our calling wasn’t retail—it was relationships. We were at our best when working closely with business owners, helping them navigate change, stay secure, and use technology as a growth tool.

In 2007, we moved to Townsville, and with that came a shift in focus. We began partnering with businesses, not just fixing issues but preventing them. That shift led us to adopt the Managed Services model in 2013, allowing us to deliver proactive, consistent support. In 2017, we placed cybersecurity at the core of our services, becoming a Cyber Centric MSP. And in 2024, we officially became a Managed Services-only provider, fully focused on long-term, business-grade outcomes.
